Hathaway and Lewis investigate a murder committed on the first night of a quiz weekend held at Chaucer College. Sealing the college grounds to interrogate the remaining 11 contestants, the pair discover the victim had a track record for sexual harassment involving fellow competitors, as well as past dealings with a shady engineering business funded by Russian gangsters and masterminded by Oxford professor Charles Milner - another quiz fan.
