The intrepid reporter explores different aspects of Los Angeles, beginning by meeting the characters whose lives revolve around the city's neglected and feral dogs. He goes on patrol with a man on a mission to rescue some of the thousands of stray and ferocious pit bulls roaming the streets and meets hard-pressed staff at LA's largest animal shelter. Louis also encounters training gurus who claim to be able to take the ghetto out of the dog once it has been removed from that environment
